IX Instructional Course Lectures of EFORT took place on 24-26.10.2002 in Krakow, Poland. The course was co-organized by EFORT and Polish Society of Orthopaedics and Traumatology.
We hosted 700 participants from European and worldwide countries (55) including: USA, Canada, Philippines, Israel and Kuwait. The topics of the course were: developmental dysplasia of the hip, knee osteoarthritis and upper limb fractures. The best-known European scientists delivered 27 keynote lectures. Demonstrations of total knee replacement procedures were presented by Centerpulse/Sulzer Orthopaedics and Johnson & Johnson. Satellite symposium devoted to osteoporosis was arranged by Aventis Pharma. The participants presented 17 oral and 57 poster reports.
